What this service is

Liu Yao readings are a form of traditional Chinese divination, offered here for personal reflection and self-understanding. Each reading is interpreted personally, by hand. Readings are not predictions of fixed outcomes and are not guaranteed to produce any particular result.

Not a substitute for professional advice

Readings are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other licensed advice. If you are facing a serious decision in any of these areas, please consult an appropriate professional. Decisions you make based on a reading remain entirely your own responsibility.

Eligibility

This service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. By requesting a reading you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Free opening reading

Every first-time reader is welcome to one free opening reading per person — a brief personal note on what you've shared, with no payment required and no obligation to continue. The opening reading is a short note, not a full Single Question or Deep Reading. Capacity is limited; reply times are best-effort and may be longer during busy periods.

Paid readings, payment, and refunds

The price for any paid reading is confirmed in writing, by email, before payment is requested. Payments are made through PayPal under their own terms.

Because each reading is a one-of-a-kind interpretation prepared by hand, paid readings are non-refundable once interpretation has been delivered. Before delivery, the rules below apply:

• If payment has been made but you have not yet sent your hexagram, you may request cancellation and a full refund.
• Once your hexagram has been received and interpretation work has begun, cancellation may no longer be available.
• If no hexagram is received within thirty days of payment, I will send one reminder. If there is no response within a further thirty days, the payment will be held as reading credit, valid for up to six months from the date of payment, unless a refund is requested and is still available through PayPal's buyer-protection window. Reading credit applies to future readings only and is not redeemable as cash once the PayPal refund window has closed.

If you have a concern about a delivered reading, write to me and I will work with you in good faith.

Scope of Deep Reading

A Deep Reading explores a single life theme in depth. Up to three hexagrams may be cast, only when each hexagram serves the same theme. The seven-day follow-up window is for clarification and questions about the same reading, not for new, unrelated questions. Unrelated questions are welcome as a separate reading.

Reply times

Paid readings are delivered within 48 hours of receiving your hexagram. Free opening readings typically receive a reply within a few days, but are not bound to any guaranteed timeframe.

Conduct

Readings are offered with care and discretion. I reserve the right to decline any request, including any that focus on surveilling, controlling, or predicting the private actions of another identifiable person, as well as any message that is abusive or unlawful. Questions about your own situation within a relationship are welcome.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Master Shen Oracle is not liable for any loss, damage, or consequence arising from decisions made on the basis of a reading. Readings are offered in good faith for personal reflection only.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated occasionally. The date at the top of the page will change when they do. Continued use of the service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
